What Equation of Everything stores, what can leave your device, and how to reach us.

Introduction

Equation of Everything is a puzzle game made by Enlyzr. This policy says what the game keeps on your phone, what it asks Android for, and what can leave the phone and only when you cause it.

Information the app stores

The game keeps your progress in its own storage on your phone: which puzzles you have solved, your stars, your fewest moves and the steps of your best solution of each puzzle. It also keeps your settings, such as language, theme, colours, and whether stories, daily facts and dimension lines are shown. The game has no account, and it asks you for no name, e-mail address or other personal details.

Permissions and what leaves your device

The app asks for no Android permissions at all. In particular it does not have the internet permission, so it cannot send anything over a network. All puzzles, laws and daily facts are part of the app.

Two things can take data off the phone, and only when you start them:

  • Sharing or copying a derivation. The Share and Copy buttons on a solved puzzle write your working out as plain text. Share hands that text to the app you choose in Android's share sheet; Copy puts it on the clipboard. What happens to it after that depends on the app you chose.
  • Android backup. The app allows Android's backup. The backup contains the game's progress database and its one settings file, that is, the progress and settings described above and nothing else. It is made and stored by Android and your Google account if you have backup turned on, and it lets your progress move to a new phone. You can turn backup off in your phone's settings. The game does not read or manage the backup itself.

Third-party services

The game uses no third-party services: no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting, and it makes no purchases possible. The libraries it is built with run on your phone only.

Children's privacy

The game collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Data deletion

Your progress and settings are in the app's own storage. Clearing the app's storage in Android's settings, or uninstalling the game, deletes them from the phone. A copy in an Android backup is managed by Android; you can delete it from your backup settings. Text you have shared or copied is outside the game and is deleted where you put it.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and its date changed.
