Equation of Everything
Turn one equation into another
Every puzzle hands you one equation, for example power as work over time, and names another to reach, for example power as force times velocity. You tap a part of the equation and pick a move: rearrange it, replace a quantity using another law, multiply both sides. The game offers only moves that are valid, so what you end up with is a derivation you made yourself. It is for anyone who is learning physics or chemistry, and for anyone who likes to see how the laws hang together.

What is in the game
One equation into another
A puzzle starts from a law, for example pressure as force over area, and names the one to reach, for example the pressure at a depth of water. The shortest route is between one and seven moves long, and every puzzle shows its number.
Seven kinds of move
Get a quantity by itself, replace it using another law, name a part as a law you know, rewrite with an identity, multiply or divide both sides, add a rate up over time, or use a condition the puzzle sets. Nothing is typed: you tap a part of the equation and pick, and only valid moves are offered.
Assumptions are part of the answer
Some moves hold only under a condition: that a divisor is not zero, that a quantity stays constant. The game asks you to accept the condition first, and then keeps it written under your working.
Hints, stars and free undo
Three stars for the shortest route without a hint. Hints are always there and cost the third star; when the written ones run out, the game looks for a next move itself. Undo costs nothing.
Dimensions under every line
Under each equation a line says what both sides measure, written in the seven base dimensions such as mass, length and time. The symbols change with every move and that line does not. You can switch it off.
365 laws to look up
The help holds every law in the game, sorted into 28 areas and with a search. A law's card says what it means and what its symbols stand for, and for some laws where it comes from, which laws are built the same way and which ones it leads to.
Your derivation, kept
When a puzzle is solved, the whole working is written out: where you started, every move with the law behind it, and what you assumed. The best solution of each puzzle is saved, and you can share it or copy it as plain text.
A story for each puzzle, a fact for each day
Every puzzle opens with a short scene from the real world and closes with how it turns out. When you open the game, one science fact for the day is shown: 366 of them, 192 tied to the date. Both screens can be switched off.
Stays on your phone
No account, no ads, no purchases, and no internet permission: the game cannot go online. Your progress is kept on your phone, and travels with your Android backup if you use one.
Questions and answers
Do I have to be good at physics to play?
No, but you will meet real equations. The first eight puzzles, called Getting started, take one to three moves, and on first start a walkthrough leads you through your first puzzle tap by tap. Every symbol and every law on the board can be opened to read what it stands for, and hints are always available.
Can I make a mistake?
You cannot write a false equation: the game only offers steps that are valid. You can take a step that leads away from the goal, and then Undo takes it back. Undo costs nothing.
How are the stars counted?
Each puzzle shows the number of moves of its shortest known solution. Reach the goal in that many moves without a hint and you get three stars. Within two moves of it you get two, otherwise one. Any hint costs the third star. Stars open the harder levels: Beginner needs 3 stars, Intermediate 12 and Advanced 30.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. All puzzles, laws and daily facts are part of the app. The app does not have Android's internet permission, so it cannot go online at all.
Which languages does it speak?
English and Czech: the screens, the puzzles with their stories and hints, the laws and the daily facts. You choose the language in the game's Settings or in Android's own language setting for the app, and the rest of your phone stays as it is.
Where is my progress kept?
On your phone, in the app's own storage: which puzzles you solved, your stars, your fewest moves and the steps of your best solution. If Android backup is turned on, the progress is part of that backup and can move to a new phone. There is no account. The privacy policy has the details.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Equation of Everything is free. There is nothing to buy in the game, no subscription and no advertisements.
