5.2 Activities Screen

The heart of Enlyzr where you record, manage, and track all your daily activities. This core component allows you to log everything from exercise and meals to medications and symptoms.

Note: Activities are used to record and measure “what you do”, while the Environment screen records “where you do what you do” along with surrounding conditions. Together, they provide a complete picture of your daily life.

The Activities screen features comprehensive navigation and filtering options at the top:

Time Period Selection

Important: Time period selections are synchronized across the entire application. When you change the date range here, it automatically updates in Calendar, Statistics, Environment screens, and Reports generation. Similarly, changing the time period in any of these screens will be reflected here, ensuring a consistent view throughout Enlyzr.

Filtering Options Use filtering to show or hide activities based on their various properties:

Important: Filters applied in the Activities screen are automatically synchronized with Calendar, Statistics, and Reports screens, ensuring you work with the same dataset across these features. Note that filtering is independent from the Environment screen, as Environment tracks different types of data (environmental conditions rather than activities).

  3. Color Coded Changes
    • How it works: Highlights increases in green and decreases in red. Each value is compared to the previous value, making it easy to identify changes at a glance
    • Why it’s useful: Best for tracking day-to-day changes and quickly identifying improvements or decreases. Color coding eliminates manual calculation of differences
  4. Progress Indicators
    • How it works: Shows circular progress bars for each entry. Circles fill based on proximity to a dynamically calculated target (120% of average maximum value across similar activities)
    • Why it’s useful: Useful for goal tracking and visualizing how close you are to targets. Provides motivation by showing clear visual progress toward objectives
  5. Statistics Comparison
    • How it works: Calculates and displays key statistical measures: average (mean), minimum, maximum, and trend percentage change from first to last entry

Key Principle: Your category structure should directly support your primary intention. Different purposes require different organizational approaches.

Note on Multiple Categories: You can create multiple categories with the same name as long as they differ in at least one parameter (such as Unit or Main Category). This flexibility allows you to track the same activity in different contexts. For example, you might have two “Exercise” categories - one with the unit “minute” to focus on duration, and another with the unit “kilometer” to focus on distance performance. This enables more nuanced tracking based on your specific goals.

Activities Tab Features

The Activities tab provides comprehensive management of activity categories:

  1. Category Display Options:
    • Categories grouped by main category with statistics
    • Each category shows activity count in parentheses (e.g., “Running (15)”)
    • Main category headers show sub-category count and total activity count
    • Visual hierarchy with clear grouping and spacing
  2. Filtering System:
    • Filter Menu: Access via filter icon (turns red when active)
    • ALL: Show all categories (default view)
    • Sensitive: Show only categories marked as sensitive
